Ok, truth... I was tired. It's my last night in Paris and I haven't picked up my guitar since I brought it with me. I was going to pack/clean and rest before tomorrow and just chalk up the whole "singing in Paris" as something I'll do next time. Then I remembered this challenge and the whole point is NOT to put things off for later but to do the things you want to do NOW.
So, I grabbed my guitar, went literally downstairs where there is a small pub with two guys playing LIVE music and I asked the bartender if I could just play one song... And he said YES. Not only did I get to play and sing but I had this lovely gentleman, Cedrik play lead guitar on my song "Saving You". Everyone was lovely and sweet and they asked me to continue but I was fine with leaving them wanting more :-). Consensus: It doesn't matter what the response was from the audience or how I think I sounded... What matters most is I did what I said I was going to do. I honored my word to myself... And that's always the best feeling.

These blog posts are part of my #40daysoffearlessacts Challenge. When I turned Forty on June 6th of this year, I decided to STEP-UP my life and created a "40 Days of Fearless Acts" challenge. Follow along as I step out of my comfort zone, do things that scare me, that I've never done before and/or are just plain silly and make me laugh!
