"The Dream Diaries" documents the journey of singer/songwriter, Charlene Lite as she follows her dream. For the past four years, Charlene has recorded an intimate video journal that bravely shares her innermost thoughts, her successes, her disappointments, and her undefeated will to never give up. Her dream will inspire yours.
The Story Behind "The Dream Diaries"
I picked up a video camera in 2004 and started taping my journey as a singer/songwriter. I wanted to capture the real story behind what it takes to pursue a dream. All the passion, all the drive and more importantly, how much music means to me.
I recorded everything from video diaries to rehearsals to gigs to dinners with my father. I only intended to tape six months but as the process went on, I became more and more comfortable sharing my thoughts and expressing my doubts and fears. I ended up with four years.
From LA to NY, from 2004-2008, I have finally transcribed and edited ninety-five hours of footage into a three minute and forty-nine second trailer.
Please watch.
If my story inspires or moves you at all, please forward along to your friends, post it on your websites/facebook walls, write about it in your blog, tweet about it, etc. I am in the process of getting this made and would love your help by spreading the word.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for being part of the making of, "The Dream Diaries."
Lots of love,
Charlene
